A Miniature of the Future Exolife Finder
Over the summer months, we created a miniature of the future Exolife Finder. This Nano-ELF is simpler, with commercial mirrors, but it will allow us to test the mirror co-phasing strategies.
For those who’ve been following us, you might remember that our telescope is special: it’s actually an interferometer! This means that by precisely adjusting the mirrors, we can cancel out the light from the host star and capture images of exoplanets like never before.
